Maureen Batty has been part of COVE since the 2020-2021 school year. With a degree in communication and a minor in journalism, she previously was an assistant features editor at The Detroit News and before that, spearheaded a newspaper section by, for, and about teens in Florida. She and her husband Tim have one son they have been homeschooling since he was in second grade.
