Maureen Batty has been part of COVE since the 2020-2021 school year. She previously was an assistant features editor at The Detroit News and before that, spearheaded a newspaper section by, for, and about teens in Florida. For the ’25-’26 COVE year, she is the instructor for Lego Club and World Geography for 5^th-8^th Graders. She and her husband Tim have one son they have been homeschooling since he was in second grade.
